My Story

How I started...

Photography has been in my family for many years. As far back as I can remember, my Dad was always capturing my family's sweetest moments. I quickly followed in his footsteps and began capturing my own moments. I would be the friend who wouldn't leave the house without her camera trying my best to freeze every moment of time. (Things have not changed!) 

In 2013, my husband and I welcomed the cutest little Shihtzu puppy, Mac, into our family. He motivated me to capture all of his moments as he grew into an adult dog. My heart kept telling me that I needed a second dog. Soon we got another Shihtzu, Murphy. Every holiday I set a scene and photographed them together. They soon were called the dynamic duo! They were, and still are, the perfect models. After posting their pictures on Facebook, a new gate was opened to photographing close friends and families. My time photographing made me realize that there was a deeper passion for this kind of art than I even realized. Looking through my view finder and freezing a moment is a thrill for me!    ​

In 2015, I decided to put a label to my name to help families capture life's sweetest moments in their everyday lives. I’ve taken several photography classes to strengthen my knowledge of shooting in manual and using flash photography. Newborns, children, families and holidays soon became my weekend calling. Currently, I am shooting with a Canon 80D and mostly use the 24-70mm lens (it's my favorite!) I have upgraded my studio lighting and could not be happier with my final images. During the week I am a first grade teacher and love working with children. My profession definitely helps when it comes to photographing children since I am able to easily connect with children and understand how children operate.

In May of 2020 my husband and I welcomed our precious daughter into the world and my camera has not stopped clicking since the moment she was born. As a parent, I now know how important it is to capture every single milestone of your sweet baby. These are the moments/memories we have to look back on. I cannot encourage you enough to get your pictures printed, or make monthly books from your cell phone images. You will thank me one day for this!
